CHARLOTTE INTERNATIONAL AUTO SHOW “PREVIEW NIGHT” TO BENEFIT LOCAL Y’s
November 16th – 6:30pm-9:00pm
The Charlotte International Auto Show kicks off this year with a Preview Night benefiting all area YMCA’s. This annual preview night event will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at the Charlotte Convention Center beginning at 6:30pm. Attendees will have the opportunity to view the 2017 models with style and excitement while benefiting a great local charity. Buy tickets NOW for Preview Night using this link. RIDE AND DRIVE
The Charlotte International Auto Show is hosting four Ride & Drive events this year. Chevrolet**, Chrysler, Mazda and Toyota will have select 2017 models to drive Thursday thru Sunday at this year’s Show. This program allows consumers to get behind the wheel of various models and take these cars, SUV’s, crossovers and trucks for a spin. Drivers must be at least 18 years old, produce a valid driver’s license, provide follow up information, sign a waiver of liability and pass a breathalyzer test to participate in the program. All participants will be accompanied by an in vehicle host who will answer product related questions and will assist in demonstrating the many features and benefits of these technologically advanced vehicles.

HISTORY OF THE AUTOMOBILE
Back by popular demand will be our History of the Automobile display. It is like taking a walk back in time and brings back a lot of memories for a lot of folks.
BRAKES ( Be Responsible and Keep Everyone Safe) is a non-profit organization founded by Doug Herbert after both of his sons were killed in an auto accident. BRAKES’ mission is to prevent injuries and save lives by training and educating teenage drivers and their parents about the importance of safe driving. Doug is an NHRA driver when he is not traveling the country promoting BRAKES. Doug, and his dragster, will be at the Auto Show by the Kia booth, his national sponsor.
TWO 75th ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS – JEEP AND THE USO!!
Jeep is 75 years old – first built during WWII by Willys-Overland to be a work horse for the Army, Jeep is now on of the most recognized brands in the world. Travel back in time viewing the Jeep Timeline and then walk in to the Chrysler display to see how they have changed in 75 years.
USO is also celebrating a birthday – supporting our troops all over the world for 75 years. Visit the USO display near the Jeep and Chrysler exhibit.
FAMILY DAY SET FOR NOVEMBER 20
Families are welcome every day at the Auto Show, but Sunday is SPECIAL. The Show opens at 10a.m. on Sunday but beginning after noon there will be special events just for the kids. Again this year Santa Claus will visit with children. Entertainment will include live music and face painting . Children 12 and under will receive a ticket for an hourly drawing for a family four pack of movie entertainment – tickets and concessions – valued at over $50.00. All of this for the price of admission; children 12 and under are admitted free with an adult. Sunday really is a fun family day at the Auto Show.

FREE LUNCH – Thursday and Friday
The Charlotte International Auto Show will provide a complimentary lunch for every paying visitor between the hours of 12 Noon and 2PM on Thursday and Friday, November 17th and 18th, 2016. Every paid admission will receive a ticket stub good for a hot dog and drink from either of the two concession stands open in exhibit halls A & B. Visitors may have their hand stamped so they may re-enter the Show after work.

BRING YOUR CAMERA TO THE AUTO SHOW
Bring your camera to the Show. Photography is allowed and what great opportunities there are for terrific pictures. You’ll experience beautiful displays, turntable exhibits and all the allure of a major Auto Show. On Saturday and Sunday your children may have their picture taken with Santa Claus and on Sunday all area mascots will be available as well for photo opportunities.
